Accessing SSAS Cube Via. SSMS

SSAS Cube deployed and processed on server can be browsed by using “SQL Server Management Studio” for testing and development.

• Open “SSMS”. Click On Connect Button in Object Explorer and Select “Analysis Service”. 

 

• Now, navigate to desired Database and hence cube and say Browse. 

 

• This will open cube browser window and will present “Measure Groups” and “Dimensions” as per security context. 
• You can just drag and drop requires dimensions and measures on designer surface to see multidimensional data.
